Green Dot Sight for Handgun - Compatible with Doctor/Venom/Fastfire Red Dot

The ADE RD3-006, along with the RD3-009, RD3-012, and RD3-013, does not fit the Springfield HELLCAT OSP because the red dot footprint of the Springfield Hellcat OSP is based on the Shield RMS. ADE sights have the Doctor/Vortex Venom type footprint. These models (RD3-006, RD3-009, RD3-012, and RD3-013) are compatible with "Optics Ready" pistols like Glock MOS, Springfield OSP (non-Hellcat), Canik TP9 SFX (non-elite SC), Walther PPQ Q5 Match, FNX 45 Tactical, and IWI Masada handguns that come with mounting plates marked for the Doctor/Vortex Venom type red dot. These pistols must be the OPTICS READY model with a MOUNTING PLATE marked for DOCTOR/VORTEX. If not, the user will have to purchase an aftermarket mounting plate (not included with the red dot sight) to replace the rear sight.

Upon receiving the red dot, it comes with a pre-assembled picatinny mounting plate. Use the provided allen wrench to remove the two hex screws located on the top behind the glass frame, disconnecting the red dot from the picatinny mounting plate. You can then attach the red dot to various handgun mounting plates that are sold separately. Since handguns come in different sizes, each mounting plate may vary slightly in dimensions. Manufacturers such as ADE, Lakeline LLC, EGW, and Outerimpact produce a variety of handgun plates that replace the rear sight.

The red dot is equipped with M3x6mm screws to connect to the pre-assembled picatinny mounting base. Some mounting plates from other companies may require longer (M3x8mm) or shorter screws (M3x4mm) depending on the thickness of the mounting plate/adapter. If you encounter issues with the screws, we recommend visiting a hardware store like ACE Hardware to find the correct size.

Since its initial release in 2016, the red dot has undergone several improvements to enhance durability, withstand recoil, and improve zero-holding ability. The front switch has been updated in Oregon. The precision ground and polished lenses virtually eliminate parallax, providing a clear and crisp sight picture.

This GREEN dot comes with a picatinny mounting base and is compatible with various handgun mounting plates that replace the rear sight dovetail. It is also suitable for Optics Ready pistols like Glock MOS and Springfield OSP. The 4 MOA dot is fully windage and elevation adjustable and lockable, with unlimited eye relief and multiple illumination settings. The sight is powered by a lithium CR2032 battery (included). The ADE models RD3-006, RD3-009, RD3-012, RD3-013, and RD3-015 are designed to fit the slide/footprint of plates made for Vortex Venom, Burris Fastfire, Meopta, Docter, Insight, and Eotech MRDS. Any plate made for these brands will also fit this sight.
