Extra Elevation Range Shim for Red Dot Sights

The Optic Shim is designed to be placed between the red dot and the mounting plate. Manufactured by ADE, this optic shim serves as a mounting accessory for the aforementioned optics, with all trademarks belonging to their respective owners.

Depending on the handgun being used, some handguns may require a 1-degree shim to provide an additional range of elevation, especially across a variety of firearms like the 1911. If you encounter any resistance from the mechanism while adjusting the elevation, it is recommended to install the shim between the sight and the mount, ensuring that the thickest part is positioned at the rear.

Compatible with Burris Fastfire II, III, Docter Red Dot Sight, Insight MRDS, Ade Advanced Optics RD3-006, RD3-009, RD3-011, RD3-012, RD3-013, and RD3-015, the optic shim may require adjustments to the center two screw holes for some red dots. If needed, simply trim or enlarge the hole accordingly. Please note that this shim is not compatible with Trijicon RMR, Shield, Sig Romeo, or Holosun red dots.

During the zeroing process of the red dot sight, some users may find that they have turned the elevation screw to its maximum extent, resulting in the inability to adjust the dot low enough for zeroing. In such cases, rather than returning the red dot under the assumption of it being defective, the optic shim can be used to elevate the optic, allowing the user to position the illuminated dot higher for zeroing purposes.

The scope base shims have a tolerance of +/- 0.005 and a taper of 1.0 degree, ensuring precise adjustments and compatibility with a range of firearms.
